So you want to be in the movies? The Hudson Valley Film Commission will hold a workshop at the Staatsburg Library to help educate and involve local residents and business owners in the growing film and television industry, which offers many different educational, job and creative opportunities.

Film Commission Director Laurent Rejto will give participants a background on film and television work including pre-production, production and post production and we’ll answer any questions that may arise including:

• What kind of crew members and actors do local productions need?
• What kind of vendors do local productions need?
• How do I get myself or my business involved?
• What can I do to put myself in front of the decision-makers in the film industry?

For the past 18 years, the Hudson Valley Film Commission has promoted and created sustainable economic development by supporting and attracting film, video and media production in the region. We have helped with cast & crew referrals, locations, permits, vendors and much more!
