Write it Out - Writing GroupWrite it Out - Writing Group – A writing group for parents, caregivers, family members and educators of children with special needs. This is a safe space to share and explore thoughts and feelings! This group meets regularly at the library throughout the year and is facilitated by Diana Rush, a writer and parent. Diana will help participants use writing as a means to sort through some of the unique challenges and victories of parenting and working with these special kids. Join other book and art enthusiasts in reading, discussing and evaluating this year’s crop of beautiful books. The Randolph Caldecott Medal is awarded annually to the artist of the most distinguished American picture book published in the United States the previous year. Join us and the Hyde Park Library in reading, discussing and evaluating this year’s crop of fantastic and beautiful books. Bee Calm Yoga – Children 4-10 Yrs (Registration Required)Bee Calm Yoga – Children 4-10 Yrs (Registration Required) – Saturday, February 1 from 1-2 pm REGISTRATION REQUIRED – Call 889-4683 to register. Learn about bees and the calming techniques of yoga in a class led by Beth Cooper with Yoga Motion Kids, an experienced early childhood educator and certified children's yoga instructor. Junior pollinators will learn yoga motions accompanied by fun music and mindfulness activities influenced by recording artist and Yogi Bari Koral. Please bring a yoga mat. |
