We recommend bringing water, bug spray, and sunscreen and a little snack. Weather appropriate clothing and proper footwear like sneakers or hiking boots are necessary. Dress in layers, prepared for cold or warm weather. Bring umbrellas or coats, and plan to hike no matter what the weather because that is part of the fun! Pictures: We take photographs and share what we learn on the hikes with others. We would love to highlight your photos too. Send them or tag Staatsburg library, Morton library, and the Pollinator Patrol Club. Can’t make the hikes? Pick up a copy of the trail map and Walkabout form at Morton and Staatsburg library. Follow #pollinatorpatrolclub or Facebook info for the libraries - an overview of each hike every week will be posted so you can look for the things we saw. Hike each trail when you can and keep track on your form. Share what you see and learn with us! Backpacks are also available for you to take out and use from Staatsburg library.
