Time to PARTY!!!! Let's celebrate with ice cream sundaes! Friday September 13 at 7 p.m.
We are so proud of our Battle of the Books teams! This year we had a High School team and a Middle School Team. Both teams did an awesome job reading and preparing all summer. They also did an awesome job at the regional battle, held at Columbia – Greene Community College. They are an amazing group of kids!
Thanks to all those behind-the-scenes volunteers, especially our own wonderful coaches Sarah Wiley, Kia Grogan and especially Lisa Prentiss. Lisa also works throughout the year to help manage the many moving parts needed to make the day happen!
CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR SUPER READERS!

A healthy environment is essential to strong, thriving neighborhoods. Join us for a down-to-earth Community Conversation about Climate Change, how it is impacting Staatsburg, Hyde Park & the Hudson Valley, and what we can do individually and collectively about our rapidly changing world. This forum for community discussions are a collaborative effort between the Staatsburg Library and St. Margaret’s Episcopal Church and will be facilitated by David McNary.
At this third meeting we will discuss :
Our hope is that over six sessions we can address different aspects of climate change; identify clear and reliable sources of information about the status of climate change; identify global efforts to address it; identify the local impacts and actions that we can take as individuals and organizations; identify resources we access to continue this effort.
If you would like a copy of the materials we will be discussing in advance of the meeting please email staatslibrary@gmail.com and we will send you a copy.
