A writing group for parents, caregivers, family members and educators of children with special needs. This is a safe space to share and explore thoughts and feelings! This group meets regularly at the library throughout the year and is facilitated by Diana Rush, a writer and parent. Diana will help participants use writing as a means to sort through some of the unique challenges and victories of parenting and working with these special kids. Everyone is welcome and no writing experience is necessary

Calling all adults, teens & kids who love picture books!
Join other book and art enthusiasts in reading, discussing and evaluating this year’s crop of beautiful books. The Randolph Caldecott Medal is awarded annually to the artist of the most distinguished American picture book published in the United States the previous year.
Join us and the Hyde Park Library in reading, discussing and evaluating this year’s crop of fantastic and beautiful books. Nominated Books are available for review at your convenience in the Staatsburg Library Program Room or order your copies from the library catalog. THIS MEETING IS AT THE STAATSBURG LIBRARY

We are taking our show on the road! Pre-school age children are invited to gather around the Christmas tree in Mills Mansion for a special storytime led by Staatsburg Library’s Miss Lisa. Each month, the office of U.S. Representative Antonio Delgado (NY-19) hosts mobile office hours where constituents can meet with the Congressman’s staff and receive assistance with constituent services. This includes any type of support with federal services, from seniors having issues with their Social Security benefits, to veterans needing more information on VA benefits and services, to organizations applying for grants.
Constituents can meet with Delgado staff members from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Dec. 16 at the Staatsburg Library, 70 Old Post Road, Staatsburg.

The adult book club is a dynamic group of readers that meet monthly for fun and lively discussions about a vast array of books, from contemporary to the classics.
December Meeting: Holiday Potluck - choose a genre of literature that you would like to share with the group. Each member will talk about why they chose to share their particular choice(s), which is a great way to enjoy food, drink and literature.
Please feel free to bring an original work of your own, if you so desire.
Bring sweet or savory finger foods to share.
