Calling all adults, teens & kids who love picture books!
Join other book and art enthusiasts in reading, discussing and evaluating this year’s crop of beautiful books. The Randolph Caldecott Medal is awarded annually to the artist of the most distinguished American picture book published in the United States the previous year.
Join us and the Hyde Park Library in reading, discussing and evaluating this year’s crop of fantastic and beautiful books. Nominated Books are available for review at your convenience in the Staatsburg Library Program Room or order your copies from the library catalog. THIS MEETING IS AT THE STAATSBURG LIBRARY

Get together with friends to create a masterpiece! Art student Lilly will lead us step by step to create a winter sunset scene with birch trees on canvas. There will be pizza, snacks and lots of fun.

A writing group for parents, caregivers, family members and educators of children with special needs. This is a safe space to share and explore thoughts and feelings! This group meets regularly at the library throughout the year and is facilitated by Diana Rush, a writer and parent. Diana will help participants use writing as a means to sort through some of the unique challenges and victories of parenting and working with these special kids. Everyone is welcome and no writing experience is necessary

It's true, we can't prevent getting older. However, there are certainly many things we can do to slow down the aging process, and more importantly, to improve the quality of our lives while we age.
During this class, we will discuss:
What causes aging
What happens when we age
Suggestions for slowing down the aging process through diet, natural supplements & lifestyle change
This informational session will be facilitated by Clement Lau, owner of Earthgoods Market, a health food store located in Hyde Park.
