Indian Cooking – Virtual Program with Holly Shelowitz
– February 3, 2022
Indian Cooking Class Virtual Program with Holly Shelowitz from Nourishing Wisdom
Thursday, Feb. 3, 6:00 PMIt’s Winter and such a perfect time to cook together! Join Holly Shelowitz, Culinary Nutrition Educator and Counselor, for a hands-on Indian cooking class from the comfort of your own kitchen. Join us on zoom by setting up your computer in the kitchen. On the menu is Chana Saag, which is a traditional dish with chickpeas and spinach. In this class, you will have the option to use chicken instead of chickpeas. We will also be making basmati rice, or cauliflower rice. To complete the menu, we will make Raita, a traditional yogurt condiment. You can use dairy or non-dairy yogurt. The menu is delicious and we look forward to seeing each other in our kitchens!
A note on preparation from Holly: Please read through the recipes and have all ingredients washed and ready, along with any pots/ pans/ utensils. If you are making the cauliflower rice instead of basmati rice, please purchase “riced” cauliflower. Many grocery stores carry it fresh or frozen. The recipe teaches you how to “rice” your own, but we won’t be doing the “ricing” in class. I look forward to seeing you in the kitchen!
Register to save your spot for this program. You will receive recipes and a zoom link when you register.
