A writing group for parents, caregivers, family members and educators of children with disabilities. This is a safe space to share and explore thoughts and feelings! This group meets throughout the year and is facilitated by Diana Rush, a writer, educator and parent.
Diana will help participants use writing as a means to sort through some of the unique challenges and victories of parenting and working with these special kids.

Virtual Program - Online Via ZoomAre you currently enrolled in Medicare? Will you be turning 65 over the next year or two? Learn about eligibility, how and when to enroll, when you can make changes, and the insurance options available to you. Review and compare what services are covered/not covered under Medicare Parts A, B, C and D. Detail the costs associated with medical and drug insurance. Explore and evaluate Original Medicare, Medicare Supplement Insurance, Prescription Drug Plans and Medicare Advantage Plans.
This program will simplify the choices you need to make, help you make more well-informed decisions and explain what Medicare means for you! This is an educational event.

Be part of a community giving back to the land and the next generation.
Here's some highlights of what you can expect:
Bio-blitz using Seek and iNaturalist to identify plant and animal species at Vlei Marsh: We'll guide you through setting up an iNaturalist account and how to contribute your findings. Your data will help inform the vital importance of our conserved areas!
Plant for pollinator habitats! Get your hands dirty with Pollinator Patrol and the Morton Seed Library and help us make a welcoming habitat for pollinators. Learn what species are at Vlei Marsh and when you can expect to see them during the year. Plus - how you can be a welcoming pollinator host at home!
