Resmaa Menakem, therapist and New York Times bestselling author of My Grandmother's Hands: Racialized Trauma and the Pathway to Mending Our Hearts and Bodies will discuss his groundbreaking book.
My Grandmother's Hands examines the damage caused by racism in America from the perspective of trauma and body-centered psychology.
Resmaa Menakem, MSW, LICSW, is a therapist and trauma specialist with decades of experience. Currently in private practice in Minneapolis, MN, he specializes in trauma, body-centered psychotherapy, and violence prevention.
This Program is funded by the Bridging Divides, Healing Communities Grant through the Berkshire Taconic Community Foundation and presented by the Northeast Millerton Library.
